Do Your Work - Book Club/Discussion Group
“Do Your Work” is a book club and discussion group led by GAFSJ’s Director of Education Amy Palder, for anyone seeking guidance and knowledge about having more effective dialogues around the issues of race. Tuesday nights, once a month, 7-8 pm. We never know where the conversation will lead us and you don’t have to finish the book, or even read it, to join the discussion! Put these upcoming dates on your calendar: “Our Time is Now” by Stacey Abrams (12/15); “The New Jim Crow” by Michele Alexander (1/19); “They Can't Kill Us All” by Wesley Lowery (2/16) and “Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?” by Beverly Tatum (3/16). Email Amy for the Zoom link: [email protected]. If you are unable to attend, weekly recordings are available here for on-demand listening.
