Sept 2020 - VOTE EARLY! EARLY MEANS NOW!

Educate, Activate, Convene

Sept 2020

EARLY. EARLY. EARLY.

Make a plan to vote in the Presidential Election early! Request your ballot early. Vote early. Early means... now!

You don't have to wait. Record numbers of Georgians are expected to cast absentee ballots due to the coronavirus epidemic.   You can request your vote by mail ballot TODAY.  Mail your completed ballot right away or bring it to a dropbox near you.  If you're voting early in person, log in to My Voter Page to find your polling place and hours.

Last week U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross handed Georgians an epic victory in the ongoing fight to ensure every vote is counted in November.  She ruled that the deadline for the return of absentee ballots in Georgia must be extended --  a decision that will likely result in tens of thousands of ballots being counted that would have otherwise been rejected.

GAFSJ is organizing with community partners to insure the USPS in Georgia isn't being sabotaged by Trump and DeJoy.  Stay tuned for updates in our newsletters and social media, on how we're working to protect the postal service and safeguard our mail-in ballots.

SEPTEMBER WEEKENDS OF ACTION With Fair Fight Action

With the general election quickly approaching, Fair Fight Action is working hard to reach as many Georgians as possible about making a plan to vote.  Volunteer to provide voters with the necessary resources to cast their vote by mail or in person.  All you’ll need is a laptop or tablet to send texts, or a phone and laptop to make calls.  Sign up here.

CALL TO ACTION: SUBMIT COMMENTS TO STOP KEMP FROM GUTTING THE ACA EXCHANGE

The deadline for public comments is 9/16.  Kemp's plan would force consumers to enroll in coverage through profit-driven insurance companies and web brokers who charge commissions. His plan eliminates healthcare.gov, a trusted and widely used system and replaces it with a confusing, decentralized enrollment system ...and Kemp isn't putting a dime into educating people on how to maneuver this complicated new system. Submit your comments before 9/16 to stop this from happening.
