Last year we marched for equity and social justice. This year, we mobilize to use our strength to create a lasting impact.
On Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 12 pm, we will gather to celebrate the first anniversary of the Atlanta March for Social Justice & Women! We will commemorate our successes in collaboratively developing Georgia Alliance for Social Justice, diligently fighting bad legislation, and vivaciously winning some important elections!! So on January 20th we will meet at The Bakery Atlanta to party, to rally, and to introduce you to Social Justice City, because together we CAN make a difference in 2018 and beyond at the federal, state and local levels!!!!
We are bringing the Power to the Polls!!!
This movement will channel the energy and activism of the Women’s March into tangible strategies and concrete wins in 2018. Through coalition building with our community partners like you, this event will mobilize people, in collective action, towards lasting change. Power to the Polls is just the beginning of an 8 month long initiative leading up to the 2018 midterm elections. The goals are to inspire more progressives to run for office, increase voter registration, educate voters on important social justice issues, prepare them for effective advocacy, and to GET OUT THE VOTE!
